Dr. Donna Ocheterlony: Head of Trauma, St, Michaels Hospital Toronto.This very brave lady went on national radio to warn Canadians the insurance companies have complete control of our healthcare system. I could not believe my ears what she said next. As head of trauma at one of our biggest hospitals, she signed off on treatment plans for 2400 car accident victims over the previous year. The insurance adjusters D E N I E D every single treatment plan. Many of the accident victims were catastrophically impaired. In a move I hoped I would never see in this country, our national news station CBC took the interview off the website citing space on the server was the issue. OK. Isn't that what they do in North Korea, China, Russia, Syria; not in Canada you say? If you think I am over-reacting, being dramatic, wait till you see the videos I shot of these demons from hell doing what they do. I only hope everybody finds the courage to speak up and stop it while we can.
Our family has a tradition of speaking up against evil, and they have always paid a price; it is a small price to pay for freedom. In case anybody has not noticed, our freedom is slipping away. Better Dead Than Red was the motto I grew up with.
This is the email I received from CBC; a perfectly reasonable response. No room on the server for one of the most repugnant and reprehensible episodes in Canadian history. Shame on you CBC, and shame on the rest of us for not screaming out about this violation of free speech.

I will not let this go, I owe it to all the Canadians that fought and died so we could all live in a free society. I will be posting the material I have collected, anybody reading this can decide if I am an old crazy guy ranting about nothing, or maybe it is as I say; a dark day for Canada, a dark day for democracy.

This is an important moment in Canadian history where this doctor sounds the warning bell to the citizens of the land, they have just lost their ability to access healthcare after a catastrophic accidents. If you somehow make it through the process of qualifying for a paltry sum for treatment, that is only the beginning of your problems. By now hopefully you have read my account of what I went through; so far. You won't believe your eyes and ears when you see the skull duggery these insurance people are up to. It is something we have grown to expect of the insurance industry; everybody has their store. The Canadian government stood by silently and let these monsters run roughshod over accident victims. The real tragedy however is nobody even bothered to respond to this travesty; makes me wonder why I am even bothering. We have turned into a nation of zombies; I think it must be the gluten. The insurance companies and their cohorts in healthcare, legal system got away with this because nobody cared.

If you think this has happened to you or someone in your family, go back and check the records. Was this simply a coincidence, a doctor makes a huge blunder bumping up narcotic medications by 400% while the patient is on 15 very serious medications, while their oxygen saturation is at 82%. Another coincidence is who would stand to benefit if I suddenly died from over medication; oh yes there was the matter of the lawsuit. Just sayin.

Surviving a 60 mph accident was the easy part, I ended up catastrophically impaired; Surviving the corruption in the system was a greater challenge. This story is not about me, this is happening on a large scale in Canada; this is for the accident victims that don't have a voice.

They bumped up my narcotic pain meds by 400% in one day, they did this at a time when my oxygen saturation was at 82%. By the way, it was a 82% for three years. 90% is the redline. My doctor told me I had anemia and there was nothing that could be done for me. I asked him if oxygen would help my situation? He said definitely not. Two years later, after I switched doctors, my new doctor did a blood test on the first day and advised me, I did not have anemia. I was furious, but thankful at the same time. My O2 was so low because of all the medication I was on. I stopped taking it and my breathing went back to normal, and so did my oxygen saturation. I would advise anybody who is taking serious medication, or anybody who has a history of sleep apnea to go out and buy an inexpensive finger type Oximeter. You can tell right away if you are getting the oxygen you need.
At least five other doctors accepted my family doctors diagnosis of anemia and let it go unchecked for years. They let many other things go unchecked for 5 years; they all look like idiots now for missing some very obvious symptoms. I have been finally diagnosed 5 years later by one of the top doctors in the country with a significant brain injury. No brainer. I have my cognition, so I have made it a little inconvenient for them posting my medical records.
Lets summarize what happened with my family doctor in Owen Sound.
- He wrote a letter to my neuro surgeon in London advising him I only had back pain. Subsequently I was diagnosed to be catastrophically impaired; two spinal cord injuries, a serious brain injury. As I result I did not get an appointment for two years. Thank you doctor.
- Told me I had anemia when I did not.
- He bumped up my narcotics by 400% in one day while my o2 was at 82% while he had me on 15 prescriptions at the same time. Keep in mind Fentynal is 80 times more powerful than morphine.
- He is with holding 40 letters I wrote to him while he was treating me for my injuries. I have the originals, I will be posting them for everyone to see what this guy did to me. Right in front of my wife Suzanne, he looked right at me an said:" It would be better if you had a massive heart attack or stroke". I agreed with him at the time, it would have been more merciful considering what I was going through. He just about got away with it.
Stay tuned, there is plenty more what this guy did to me in the name of practicing good medicine. Whatever.
Three years later, they wired up my brain and found I had Post Traumatic Narcolepsy: I suddenly fall asleep many times during the day, a problem for driving a car. My license was suspended for the rest of my life. My insurance company refuses to acknowledge the overwhelming medical proof I have from the top doctors in the country. I am not the only one. They are categorically denying to cover thousands of accident victims with serious injuries. They have gotten away with it so far, because nobody is willing to stand up to them. Let's get organized; let's stop this before it is too late.
